Mustafa Denizli’s Post-Game Comments (Bursa-BJK)

Following Bursaspor game, our Technical Director Mustafa Denizli made these comments regarding the game: 
"If you are playing against a formidable side like Bursaspor, you have to be extremely careful and precise with your final passes and finishes, because they may come back and haunt you at the end. When you grab the opportunity to score, you should not squander it, because you don't get to many chances in these types of tight games. In addition to all these, the poor pitch also had negative impact on our ball control. Nonetheless, both teams fought as hard as they could and deserved to end up with a point.
As you all know, emotions ran high for this game, both on and off the pitch. We have been trying to quell this abnormally high tension for the past two days. Everyone should keep in mind that this is only a game. Whatever happened in the past should be regarded as history by now. There is no need to turn it into a never-ending blood feud. On the other hand, I am quite pleased to see that no serious incident occurred on the pitch that might have created a backlash from the fans. The players kept their cool and shied away from provoking the stands. There were some hard tackles here and there; but they were all perfectly legal and did not cause any injury. I hope from now on, these two well established teams play their games in a much friendlier atmosphere. Coming into the game, we were expecting to win; but the things didn't work out the way we had planned."
