Ana Lazarevic : Besiktas fans are the best

Ethem Yiğit Gürer : How did you decide to be a volleyball player? Have you ever thought one of other sports?
Ana Lazarevic : Dad took me to the first practice. I wanted to practice tennis, but I loved volleyball more.

E.Y.G  :  If you hadn't been a volleyball player which job would you have chosen?
A.L : At eight years old I began to practice volleyball so I never thought about another job.

E.Y.G  : How did your professional career start?
A.L:I started my professional career at sixteen, and then I left my town city and began to live alone. I played six years in the volleyball club Vizura, and then came to Besiktas.



E.Y.G  : Your position is  "opposite hitter" . Have you ever played another position? Would you like to play another position?
A.L: I've never played another position. But when I play privately with my friends I like to play setter or libero.

E.Y.G : In which teams  you played so far?
A.L :I played one year of volleyball club Srbijanka, and six years in volleyball club Vizura.



E.Y.G : Let's talk about your transfer to BJK BAU. When you come to this team there wasn't any team actually. There was a team which was being built new. All players transferred in the beginning of the new season. How was your transfer? What was your thought? How did you decide to be a member of this team?
A.L :I had the option to go to Italy or to come to Istanbul. In talking with my manager, I realized that Besiktas has serious plans. Besiktas is a big club and I easily made the decision to sign a contract. I decided to Besiktas because I saw that they have serious plans and because the Turkish league is very strong. In Turkey there are great coaches and players.



E.Y.G : Did you have any difficulties when you come to Turkey? It should be very hard to be in a new country.
A.L : I had no problems, of course it's hard to be separated from your family and friends but with the help of people from all the clubs I've submitted it easy because this is still the first foreign club.

E.Y.G :How was this season? What do you think about it?
A.L :I think the first part of the season we played much better but in the second half we fell a little. We were supposed to be in the first team, but honestly, we had a lot of problems during the season as far as injuries.

E.Y.G: Who is your idol?
A.L : Hm, my idol :) Logan Tom :)

E.Y.G : How was the friendship in the team?
A.L : Friendship was soo great, all the girls are really good. There were no problems

E.Y.G : Who was/were your best friend in the team? (except Mima )
A.L :MIMAAAAAAA MIMAAAAAA MIMAAAAAAAAA :))) JOKE :) With all the girls I've had good communication, I would not want to single out anyone. Gaby , Dicle , Ece , Funda , Tulin , Naty , Seda all girls is so good.
I like them all.

E.Y.G : What do you think about Turkish League?
A.L : I think that the Turkish league is currently the strongest in Europe, and there are a lot of very good players.

E.Y.G :  What are your opinions about BJK fans?
A.L : I am loved as a club Besiktas, but there is a special love in my heart towards the fans. They are very dear to me, but I am sorry they did not come in large numbers to support us at the games because I am sure that with their help we played better.

E.Y.G : You are one of the players who know what FEDA means. Could you explain us,  it refers to what for you?
A.L : I know what you mean Feda :)

E.Y.G : What do you think about your future in BJK BAU? Will you be with us next season again?
A.L : My desire is to stay in Turkey, but nothing we have not talked specifically for next season. Besiktas is in my heart and I'm always open for cooperation.

E.Y.G :  What do you think about Turkish people?
A.L : I don't have a bad word for the Turkish people. They are very friendly and communicative. I have all the praise. :)

E.Y.G :Did you like Turkish cuisine? What are your favourites?
A.L :Of course I like Turkish cuisine is very similar to Serbian. I don't have a special dish because it's all very tasteful.



E.Y.G : At last what would you like to say to the fans?
A.L : I would like the fans to be able to write a book :) I am very loved them. I will never forget the memories of the stadium when was 110th Birthday Club. Full stadium, the song is sung. Everything was more than perfect. They are the best fans. I hope we can still hang out and we will go together for new victories. VOLIM VAS !!! :) I LOVE YOU!
